December/2010 UPDATES

27/December/2010 Posted by HellStormer1

Just a quick thing of notice for everyone.  I adjusted the Damage of the M6 handguns I've been adding with all the Halo weapons.  The reason is, I was looking through Gundarks Fantastic Technologies earlier today.  There is a weapon in there called the Morelian Slugthrower.  I had seen this handgun many times before, but never noticed that 'Model' showed it as a .48 caliber gun.  I had always wondered that, as it would have made a good reference for firearms in Star Wars D6 between Damage and the size of the ammunition used in the weapon.  And now I know!

For the Halo weapons, its been a mix of "how would this work with the detailed information (if any) in real life?", "How does it feel when playing Halo?", and "how would it work in Star Wars?"  Between these three thoughts, it's not always easy to convert something.  Some are easy, and some aren't.  With Halo weapons, I based my conversions more on how they felt when used in the Halo videogames, and how that feeling would translate into Star Wars D6 (which also gives me an idea of how tough the aliens would be when they get written up and statted out!).

I thought I had it figured out (more or less), but then I came across the Morelian .48 again and saw the damage and bullet size.  I made me realize a change was needed, slight but I felt necissary.  So, I hopped on here late at night to at least alter the M6 handguns and make them reflect this, as they are supposed to use a .50 caliber bullet, though have different strengths in different Halo games.  The rest of the firearms probably need a touchup too, but I'll get to them as I go.

I hope this little realization sparks interest in some people.  Happy upcoming New Years, everyone!

Ladies and gentlemen! HellStormer1 here. Nothing much to say this time around. Just wanted to tell everyone in case I didn't post anything new until 2011 . . . Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and/or whatever other thing you celebrate around this time of year.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!
And sorry I didn't have anything to show this time around . . .*whistles innocently while dropping Hellbringer Armor in Equipment D6* . . . nope, nothing at all, I feel bad...lol!

HellStormer1 here again. By now we have Satchel Charge, Grenade, Thermite, Narq-Dart Pistol, XM510 Multishot Grenade Launcher, ONI Hard-Sound Rifle, Grenade, Sonic, Grenade, Napalm, M111 URCEW Spear Gun, Spartan Machete, and last but not least, M7057/DP Flamethrower, added in HALO UNSC/Human Weapons in Equipment D6. They don't have pics yet (using mobile again) but these are coming soon.
This batch will finish off adding all of the human weapons that had ever been available for use in the Halo game series (save the trip mine, but that was considered 'equipment'). In the 'Expanded Universe' of the setting there happens to be many other weapons and variants (several of which are shown here, and might have been added previously), as well as items and material that were cut from the games before they were finalized. Taking whatever scraps were available, I've tried to add these weapons in with the rest, and will continue to do so for other related material as we go.
A few more weapons, and we get to start on vehicles and equipment, and at some point I'll put up racial stats for SPARTANs to see what people think. Hopefully we'll get some feedback on that one...

Pics have been added to those last four entries.  Working on more.  (LATER) Have added UNSC Target Locator, UNSC Humbler Stun Device, and UNSC M99 Stanchion Gauss Rifle, all under Halo Weapons in Equipment D6. More to come!  (LATER AGAIN) added NA4 Flamethrower.  Also while I have been at it, I tweaked the Halo stuff in Equipment D6, trying to make it simpler.  UNSC stuff will be in UNSC/Human Weapons, and Covenant stuff will be in Covenant Weapons, with all of it being under Halo.  Lets see how that works out...

It's not quite the next day yet, so here's UNSC Spartan Laser
, added to Halo Weapons in Equipment D6. With all the "BOOM" in this update, I couldn't just leave out the good ol' splaser. Again, no pic yet, but it's coming soon.

HellStormer1 here again. Tonight we have the UNSC M19 SSM Rocket Launcher (M19-B SAM)
And the UNSC M41 SSR MAV/AW Rocket Launcher
, and also the UNSC G4H-DuSH Missile Launcher
, added to Halo Weapons in Equipment D6. The M19 and M41 cover the rocket launchers throughout the entire Halo game series (Halo: HE, Halo 2, 3, 3: ODST, Halo Wars and Halo: Reach).
The G4H-DuSH was a special case. As with any kind of videogame or movie, there was unused material for, well, all of the games. The G4H-DuSH was one such item. Using the Misdile Pod and Rocket Launchers as a inspiration, I made the "Gah-Dush" into something really fearsome and powerful, a game-changer for ground combat that could more than even the odds for any small force fighting against greater odds. Have a look and see what you think!
I must apologize to everyone for the lack of pics for these three entries. I worked by mobile phone, and the site interface doesn't accept pix uploads that way. But the pics are coming, just as soon as I get to a pc.

I noticed that I forgot to fill in more information about the G4H-DuSH. Truth is, there isn't any. I was wanting to fill it in with some creative stuff, but thought I'd put the weapon up for everyone to see until I did so. However, this gives us all an opportunity, and there's no reason why I should hog all the fun!
How about one of our site fans out there come up with details for the G4H-DuSH? Anyone interested? The pic isn't there yet, and I'll put it up as soon as I can. But to give you an idea, it looks more realistic, similar to a Stinger or Javelin missile weapon of today. Most of the Halo stuff has a section in their description called "Design Details" or something like that. Take a look at the weapon, get your own feel for it, then have at it. It's for Halo, and details with a Halo feel would be great. If you have ideas on how the write-up could be used for other settings (Star Wars in particular), go ahead and put that in, too. The more detailed the better!
Anyone who wants to take a crack at this, please feel free to email me or Freddy (if you want it kept private), or just post it as a comment with the entry for everyone to see.
