Background:
Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Agent Irina Derevko was born in Moscow, USSR.
She was recruited to the KGB by Alexander Khasinau in 1970. Maintained cover as Jack Bristow's wife, Laura Bristow. She is responsible for the deaths of 20 CIA agents, including Agent Vaughn's father. She faked her own death in a car accident, with Khasinau created new organization bent on taking over established agencies.

She had a suspected relationship with Alexander Khasinau, who she eventually shot and killed. She aided CIA in missions for Sydney and helped Jack and Sydney infiltrate PRF base in India. She allied with Sloane and Sark after escaping CIA custody.

Possibly a former lit professor at UCLA. She faked her car accident with postal worker Peter Schivarelli, who posed as pursuing CIA agent Bentley Calder, but was actually Igor Sergei Valenko, a KGB agent in league with Irina. She was contemptuous of Bristow for falling for her act.

She has two sisters, Yekaterina "Katya" Derevko who works for the SVR and Elena Derevko who seems to work for herself, within the intelligence community.

It has been revealed that Irina Derevko had an affair with Arvin Sloane and had another daughter, named Nadia. Nadia is a key to finding Rambaldi's endgame. This is also the same daughter that was in KGB custody and then kidnapped away from the KGB by Michael Vaughn's father. That act is what caused him to be killed.
