?? The Strident-class Star Defender was a warship used by the New Republic Defense Fleet in the later years of the New Republic.
History
?? Produced by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, the Strident-class saw action against the Yuuzhan Vong. Three were stationed at Corellia during the Battle of Fondor.
?? In the Second Galactic Civil War, a number of them were used by the Corellian Defense Force against the Galactic Alliance. ?

?? The ships were smaller than Galactic-class battle carriers, though it is not specified how. Both ships have been hinted to be around the 1,600m range in length, but the Galactics may be wider and/or taller/deeper in their hull design, which would give them much more overall mass. Is this is so, the Galactic-class would be able to bring many wings of starfighters to bear in a battle, but weapons capability may still be comparable to other star destroyers or less, to make room for the fighter bays.
