The Formidable is a heavy defensive emplacement made by Galactech featuring the same popular rail gun found in the Fury tank.  Since it does not need to move once emplaced it is made out of thick permacrete topped with a durasteel turret.  The cannon is able to punch out most armor and its thick permacrete body can take heavy damage, though still not enough to stand up to heavy walkers and tanks.   The weapons range is sometimes questioned, as is its accuracy against smaller targets, however it is inexpensive and designed to be part of integrated defenses, not a stand alone.  As such it is fairly successful and sells well.
