The vessel had a similar design to the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, but was greater in length.

Around 21 BBY, Shuttle 81572, a Class Type B escort shuttle, was used by a Jedi elite team led by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and clone trooper officers Rex and Cody to liberate Jedi Master Even Piell, who was being held captive in the Citadel on Lola Sayu. Though the mission was successful, the shuttle was destroyed in the attempt by Confederate battle droids.
