Description: Although abandoned when the Trade Federation joined the Confederation, and gained access to the Droid vehicles of the Banking guilds and the rest of the Confederation arsenal, the Assault Droideka was a massive automated attack vehicle. Designed to take on enemy walkers and speeders, the Assault Droideka was slow and unmanueverable, making it an obvious target. Very few of these fought in the clone wars, but a large amount were constructed before the wars actually started. After the fall of the Trade Federation, these droids were liberated by a group of outlaw techs and have found their way onto the black market, where their relatively small size, but powerful weapons and tough armour has led to a popularity amoungst pirate and smuggler bands who wish to fortify and protect their camps while retaining their mobility.
