Description: The C38 Avenger is a basic Interceptor design, fast, well armed and equipped with a good hyperdrive system. However, complaints about the design have been that it lacks any missile or torpedo system to do real damage with, it is difficult to control, and its sensors lack the range necessary for an Interceptor. The Avenger has however sold reasonably well as a Starfighter, and is equipped with both a strong hull, and plenty of internal space for modification of small cargos. Rumours have existed for some time about TriLex releasing a new model of the C38, with an improved sensor package, a proton torpedo launcher, uprated shields and better manuevering thrusters, but so far nothing has come of these, but if they ever do it will be worth watching as with these improvements the Avenger will become a real challenger for the title of best starfighter.
