Description: The Corona-A is a passenger vessel from KDY and shares a number of features with the popular Nebulon series of frigates. The Corona is a comfortable vessel, which has sold in only moderate numbers since it was originally introduced shortly before the rise of the Empire. These low sales were caused by the ships lack of weaponry in the dangerous times that the galaxy was entering, but this has not stopped these vessels being refitted by the Rebellion, and later the New Republic, into basic but servicable capital ships which are popular with their crews because of the cruise ship quarters and recreation areas. Many luxury cruise lines operate Corona's, their large lounges and guest quarters, all of which offer an unequalled view of space through massive viewports. However the lack of weapons has meant that the ships have started to gain a reputation for being soft targets for pirates, so these ships have started to be retired, and can be bought for a fraction of their original cost on the second hand market.
