Description: The Guardian security droid is manufactured by Industrial Automaton, the people responsible for the R series of Astromech droids, with which the Guardian shares a number of features. The Guardian features a number of refinements which have not been commonly used since the Clone Wars, including a personal shield generator, and has been bought by a number of corporations to secure their installations. The Empire has also began pirating this design, using these repulsorlift droids to secure areas of their facilities which would otherwise be very difficult to reach. The fact that they remain equipped with similar manipulators and technical knowledge as the R series of droids (although the guardian is far less knowledgable and equipped) means that they can also be used as makeshift repair droids as well.
