Description: The Light Droideka was designed as a cheaper alternative to the standard Droideka, however was introduced too late in the Clone Wars to make any real difference or to be produced in any great numbers. Designed as a cross between the Droideka and the standard Battle Droid, the Light Droideka is a bipedal droid which can fold into a wheel mode for faster travel across the battle field, which allows these droids to outmanuever enemy forces, and quickly react to the ever changing situations on a battle field. While the Light Destroyer Droid carries the same weaponry and armour as the standard Droideka, it saves on weight and cost by not having a shield generator, which although makes the droid somewhat more vulnerable the reduced price and improved speed made this an easy trade off for the Trade Federation to live with. Light Droideka's have only survived the Clone Wars in limited numbers, and although they are an inferior droid to the standard Droideka they still can reach a high price when they are found available on the black market.
