Description: The PD series of protocol droid was a disaster for Cybot Galactica, aimed at the niche market of the alien species Lurrians, the market was closed off when the Empire blackaded their homeworld and cut off all trade. This led to the PD series being sold off in bulk at discount prices, which is a pity since the PD series is basically a 3-PO droid with some modifications. The head was modified to somewhat resemble the Lurrians, as well as having a large brow to keep the snow of the planet Lurria out of its eyes. Since the weather was a consideration, the exposed cabling of a 3-PO droid was put behind protective casing, and the droid was giving the ability to climb in case it was to fall into a chasm on this inhospitable world. The language module was reduced and the space given over to genetics programming, a hobby of the Lurrians, still leaving the droid as a capable translator, especially for someone with an interest in genetic engineering.
