*- The Gatling Laser Cannons on the Rapier are notoriously unreliable, if the user should roll a 1 on their wild die when firing this weapon, then the bearings seize and the gun cannot rotate to fire any more. This drops the damage to 2D, and the fire control to 0D+1.

Description: The Rapier is a Mandalorian fighter dating back almost a millenia, fast (for its time) and well armed (even now), the Rapier helped the Mandalorians form and protect their Empire for many centuries before it was replaced. Although the Rapier has been long since removed from active duty, many of these fighters have been kept by the families of their pilots as trophies and memorials to their successful missions. Pilots attempting to fly Rapiers will find the controls and cockpit rudimentary at best, with the pilot crammed into a very tight space between the engines and the weapons, and with no hyperdrive and limited consumables, the Rapier bares more similarities in its mission profile to the TIE fighters of the modern era than it does to newer Mandalorian designs.
