March/2020 UPDATES

31/March/2020 Posted by Freddy

Another day and another episode of Clone Wars 2003, with Chapter 17. And based on this episode we've added the Corellian Engineering Corporation CR-20 troop carrier to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the Site.
Again I'm surprised that I never covered this ship before as it's a very cool looking vessel, and has been detailed well rather than just appearing in the background of a scene.

Well, another week, another episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 7, and this week we've got Episode 6: Deal No Deal. And based on this episode I've added Kinash Lock (Twilek Majordomo) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, and Oba Diah to the Star Wars D/6 Planets & Places Section. But I've also gone back and updated Kessel as it was now outdated since we've seen more of the world. And it can also be found in the Star Wars D/6 Planets & Places Section of the Site.
Back tomorrow with the continuing journey through Clone Wars 2003.

And today as we reach Clone Wars: Chapter 16 as we continue our journey through the second season of Clone Wars 2003. And today based on the subject of this review we've added the SoroSuub Corporation ELG-3A Blaster pistol(Diplomats Blaster) to the Star Wars D/6 Weapons Section, Nubia Star Drives, Incorporated / Theed Palace Space Vessel Engineering Corps Customized H-type Nubian yacht to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section, & Ilum to the Star Wars D/6 Planets & Places Section of the Site.

And today we reach Clone Wars: Chapter 15 as we move through the Clone Wars 2003 series. And based on the subject of this review, we've added Gregar Typho (Naboo Head of Security) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, and the Arakyd Industries Chameleon Droid to the Star Wars D/6 Droids Section of the Site.
Now, I've done back and modified the Arakyd Industries Spelunker Probe Droid that I did a couple of days ago, as it's supposed to be the base model of the Chameleon Droid, and therefore I took out some of it's special abilities, although they're both basically the same.

Now as we move onto the new episodes of Clone Wars Season 7, we run back into my old rule of not adding a character until the end of their arc in the series. So although Trace and her sister Rafa are quite major characters in this episode, I get a feeling we'll be seeing more of them over the next 3 episodes, so I've not added them to the site yet. I do this as they're like to display additional skills and abilities we've not seen yet (for example, Trace owns a starship, but is she able to pilot it and how skillfully?). Anyway, here we are with today's review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 7 Episode 5: Gone With a Trace. And based on the subject of this review, we've added Pintu Son-El to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, and Tooka (Non-sentient Feline) to the Star Wars D/6 Creatures Section of the Site.
Back to Clone Wars 2003 tomorrow.

Sticking with Clone Wars 2003 today, with our review of Clone Wars: Chapter 14, and only a single addition to the site, the Arakyd Industries Spelunker Probe Droid which we've added to the Star Wars D/6 Droids Section of the Site.
Back tomorrow with the most recent episode of Season 7 of the modern Clone Wars series, which is actually a totally new episode.

Having reached the second part of the Mace Windu story as we move through Clone Wars 2003, with our review of Clone Wars: Chapter 13. Today we've added the Haor Chall Engineering Seismic hover tank to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section of the Site.

Now I can't believe that I've never stat'ed this one out before, I was absolutely certain that I had back in 2003-2004 when I originally covered the contents of this series, but nope, couldn't find it. Now due to the damage that this vehicle does, and it's unwieldiness, I've made it a Starfighter scale vehicle, so it will do massive damage to ground targets, and be pretty darn resistant to damage itself. If you've any thoughts on a better way of simulating the vehicle and its weapons effect, then let me know.

And we move onwards to Clone Wars: Chapter 12 as we continue through Clone Wars 2003. And today we've added, Dantooine to the Star Wars D/6 Planets & Places Section of the Site.

Back onto Clone Wars 2003 (and it's getting confusing switching back and forth between the new episodes of The Clone Wars, and the older Clone Wars series, and I seriously wish they'd given them different names). But anyway, we've reached Clone Wars: Chapter 11, and because I did a lot of things from this series back in the early 2000's, and the episodes are so focused and short, there's nothing I could find to stat out from that episode today.
So, I dug through the episodes we'd already gone past and I found the Keelkana (non-sentient aquatic riding beast) from back in Clone Wars Chapter 5, the Mounts used by the Mon Calamari Knights which I seemingly missed back then, so that's them added to the Star Wars D/6 Creatures Section of the Site.

Well, another new episode of Clone Wars (this time not the 2003 version), and we've put our review up for Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 7 Episode 4: Unfinished Business. And based on this episode we've added Fives (CT-5555), Jesse (CT-5597), & Echo (CT-1409) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, & GH-7 medical droid to the Star Wars D/6 Droids Section of the Site.
It constantly amazes me, when I think I'm being extremely thorough and getting every little character and item done out of the episodes I review, how many turn out to have dropped through the gaps and been missed out completely. I guess this is going to end up being my life's work, going back through old episodes and finding out what I missed.
Anyway, I also put up the next Clone Wars 2003 review, but I'll stat that one tomorrow, see you then.

So today I'm covering my review of Clone Wars: Chapter 10, but I'm going back to a previous episode of the Clone Wars 2003 and adding Fordo (ARC-77 ) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.
I've done this as the Starfighters from the episode were already added to the site, and while they're not exactly the way I'd do them now, they're similar enough to not bother updating. And the various characters in the episode were so minor that I didn't think them worth bothering with, as they each get around one line of dialogue and barely do anything in the episode at all. However if you feel I should cover them, just let me know.

And we reach Clone Wars: Chapter 9 as we move through the Clone Wars 2003 series, and I get to do an updated version of Durge (GenDai Bounty Hunter) (added to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site).
Now when I originally looked back at Durge and found I'd made him with 9D to resist damage I thought that I'd been totally wrong. However, after watching Chapter 9 I can see exactly why I'd done that, since Durge shrugs off the effects of many dozens of blaster hits without any effect. He even emerges from being hit with a Missile with only his armour destroyed. But the 9D to resist damage (6D strength + 3D from being a Gen'Dai) still strikes me as too high, so in this revised version I've dropped him to 7D (6D Strength + 1D from being a Gen'Dai).
I have decided that he still has an extremely high strength, as he is shown grabbing Obi-Wan's speeder bike and using it as a club, so being as strong as the maximum for a Wookiee seems right enough. And the bonus for being a Gen'Dai allows him to shrug off most character scale attacks which looks to be correct enough.
I also went through his skills and amended them, reducing the 7D Dexterity that for some reason I'd given him (seemingly without any reason), and making sure he can use and repair his Jetpack and other skills he displays. But if you spot anything I've missed, let me know.

So today we're doing the latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 7, Episode 3: On the Wings of Keeradaks. Because we covered this episode when it was one of the Unfinished Episodes, there's not a whole load to add to the site, but I think we found a pretty interesting one we'd missed. Today we've added the Organic decimator to the Star Wars D/6 Droids Section of the Site.
Back tomorrow with Clone Wars 2003 content.

Reaching episode 8 of the Clone Wars 2003 series, and we've reviewed Clone Wars: Chapter 8. Today we've added Aratech Repulsor Company 105-K lancer bike to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section of the Site. And I'm still leaving Durge until the next episode before I revise him.

After spending so long going through all of the Gladiators from Chapter 6 of the Clone Wars 2003 series, we reach Clone Wars: Chapter 7 and I couldn't really find anything much to create stats for. So today all we've added is the Interlocking Hilt Lightsaber to the Star Wars D/6 Weapons Section of the Site.

And we get to the last few of the Gladiators on Rattatak from Chapter 6 of Clone Wars 2003. It's taken a few days to get through them all, so back tomorrow with a review of Chapter 7. Today we've added Jasper McKnives (Nikto Gladiator), Krutch (Rattatak Gladiator), Kulltu Kutta (Rattatak Gladiator), Mantoid (Droid Gladiator), Nilo (Rodisar Gladiator), & Swyym-Ee (Trogodile Gladiator) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

03/March/2020 Posted by Freddy

And today I begin working my way through some of the many, many Gladiators from Clone Wars Chapter 6, and should finish them tomorrow. Today we've added Blorga (Gamorrean Gladiator), Anchor Blue (Houk Gladiator), Carl (Shikitari Gladiator), Crockagor (Rattatak Gladiator), Grunda Dolma (Aqualish Gladiator), Flalios (Human Gladiator), Giant Flog (Rattatak Gladiator), & Gladiator (Rattatak Gladiator) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.
I have to admit some of the gladiators have interesting backgrounds, and I really feel quite sad for Carl, who isn't a person, but instead a collection of larval insects who if not killed would have become 12 flutterscouts, which actually sound quite innocent and peaceful.

Retro RPG: City System for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons

City System is an accessory for the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game. It was written by Jeff Grubb and Ed Greenwood, and published in 1988 by TSR. It includes extensive and detailed maps of the city of Waterdeep, and was intended to serve as a companion to Waterdeep and the North. The sheer expanse of the maps drew praise from Ken Rolston of Dragon magazine, although he criticized their lack of personality and utility.
City System maps the city of Waterdeep in detail on ten large color maps, with another map that shows the city as a whole, and another that plots the interior of Castle Waterdeep. A booklet includes keys to the maps, city encounter tables, information on typical non-player characters, and data on the city's legal code.
The set includes fold-out maps, a booklet of essays, and presents a large city through numerous charts and tables. Ten of the twelve full-color fold-out maps fit together to depict a vast maze of streets, alleys, and rooftops, with over 200 numbered-keyed locations. The floor diagrams shown on the maps for some of the more notable locations are filled with schematic icons for tables, fireplaces, beds, trunks, barrels, lumber, and other standard features.

Today we reach Clone Wars: Chapter 6 as we move through the 2003 version of Clone Wars. And we've added the Sowsquatch to the Star Wars D/6 Creatures Section, the Trogodile to the Star Wars D/6 Species Section, and the Fi-lang to the Star Wars Weapons Section of the Site.
Now, normally I try to do one episode a day, but this episode has 17 different gladiators which I want to cover, so I'll be lingering on this episode for a few days as I work my way through them all.

Forgot to mention that I put up a review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 7 Episode 2: A Distant Echo yesterday. There's not many stats to cover once again since I already did the unfinished episode, so all I've got today is, R4-M1 (Jedi Order Astromech) added to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, and Skako Minor added to the Star Wars D/6 Planets & Places Section of the Site.
Back tomorrow with the scheduled Clone Wars 2003 updates.
