November/2022 UPDATES

30/November/2022 Posted by Freddy

I thought that I was going to struggle to find something from this issue of Vader, because much of it is based in the Emperors throne room on Coruscant. But the end moves to Skako Minor where they face off against a brand new type of creature. So today I've added Cliff Worm (Large Carnivorous Worm) to the Star Wars D/6 Creatures Section of the Site.

And another issue of Vader, Darth Vader: Issue 27: The Shadows Shadow: The Shadow in the Fire this time, we get some movement in the story, but the addition of more plotlines in an already plotline heavy comic book.

Based on yesterdays issue of Vader, here's the Power Armour used by Governor Tauntanza. Tauntazas Armor (Imperial Powered Battle Suit) added to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment Section of the Site.

And the next issue of the Darth Vader comic, Darth Vader: Issue 27: The Shadows Shadow: The Queens Heart, where Vader gets to confront Governor Tauntaza, and we discover the motivation behind her actions.

Not much happened in this issue of Vader, so only a single addition, Kitster Banais Podracer (Custom Podracer) which was added to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section of the Site.

And beginning a catch up with the Vader comics (as I'm a few behind), Darth Vader: Issue 26: The Shadows Shadow: Into the Sand which is perhaps the worst issue yet, in which Vader overcomes his fear of sand and uses his childhood skills as a podracer to rescue Sabe.

And my review of the final episode of this season of Andor, Andor: Season 1: Episode 12: Rix Road, where nothing much happens, but is quite nice to watch never-the-less.

Picking up a straggler that I missed from Return of the Jedi, today I've added Kin Kian (Human Rebel Pilot) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

And so, with the "Y"s and "Z"s we come to the end of our coverage of Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. I'm about 4 months behind with my Vader comic coverage, so over the next few days I'll cover that, and then onto Tales of the Jedi, and Andor as the year closes out. Anyway, today I've added Lieutenant Ekelarc Yong (Human Rebel Pilot), Captain Yorr (Human Imperial Officer/Pilot), Captain Yutani (Human Rebel Officer), & Zephee (Ewok Mother) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

And the last of the surprisingly numerous "W"s as we approach the final few additions on our completionist run through Star Wars: Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi. Today we've added Wijunkee (Ewok Warrior), Wispeth (Ewok Warrior), & Wuta (Ewok Scout) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

This weeks Andor review, Andor: Season 1: Episode 11: Daughter of Ferrix is now up. And once again, not a whole lot is going on, and the entire plot movement of the episode can be summed up by a single sentence, which isn't great for a 45 minute long episde.

A bunch more of the strangely numerous "W"s from Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, today we've added Wunka (Ewok Warrior), Warok (Ewok Glider Pilot), Lieutenant Watts (Human Imperial Officer), & Weeba Weeba (Human Rancor Keeper) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

And the review of this weeks episode of Andor is up, Andor: Season 1: Episode 10: One Way Out, and it's a really good one, loads of tension, a bunch of action, and some stellar acting going on, great stuff.

So, I should be reviewing an episode of Andor today, but I totally forgot it was on, so haven't seen it yet. Not a good sign when I'm forgetting there's new Star Wars to be watched, oh well, tomorrow. Today we're onto the "T"s and have added Teebo (Ewok Hunter), Lieutenant Gureni Telsij (Human Rebel Pilot), Velken Tezeri (Human Guard/Arms Dealer), & Thaneespi (Mon Calamari Rebel Officer) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

The final "S"s from Return of the Jedi, including a very interesting Imperial Officer, who apparently is an Imperial Storm Commado, happens to also be Admiral Pietts Nephew and a former member of Red Squadron under Luke Skywalker, which is a pretty big shopping list of cool stuff. Anyway, today we've added Stemzee (Ewok Warrior), & Captain Sarkli (Human Imperial Storm Commando Officer) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

Oh wow, an actual non-human Rebel Starfighter Pilot (in fact a few interesting characters today). Anyway here's some more "S"s as we continue through Return of the Jedi. Today we've added Harc Seff (Ishi Tib Civilian), Pote Snitkin (Skrilling Arms Dealer), Tanus Spijek (Elom Rebel Spy), & Ika Sulko (Mon Calamari Rebel Pilot) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

No updates yesterday as I was suffering from Food Poisoning, but onto the "S"s of Return of the Jedi today, with Saelt-Marae (Yarkora Informant), Colonel Horton Salm (Human Rebel Pilot), Nik Sant (Human Veteran Special Force Trooper), & Keir Santage (Human Rebel Pilot) all added to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

And we do really reach the end of the "R"s, with Pagetti Rook (Weequay Guard), Rayc Ryjerd (Bimm Pilot), & Revidjasa (Rodian Crimelord) all added to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

After suggestions to finish Return of the Jedi first, to give fresh information time to emerge about the Tales of the Jedi episodes, I've decided to do that (I was easily swayed, as it made a lot of sense). And last time I said we'd finished the "R"s, which we definitely didn't, so here' some more and we'll finish those tomorrow. Today we've added Palejo Reshad (Human Spice Smuggler), Rennek (Human Nerf Herder), & Rabin (Ewok Beast Tamer/Hunter/Loner/Thief) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

And this weeks episode of Andor, Andor: Season 1: Episode 9: Nobodys Listening!, which not only looks great, has great acting, but also has a plot which is going somewhere.
Back tomorrow with some Tales of the Jedi stats, as we work our way through that series.

And a fantastic finale to Tales of the Jedi with Tales of the Jedi: Episode 6: Resolve, filling in the gap between the Clone Wars series and Rebels.
Back tomorrow with a review of the latest Andor episode, before stat'ing out this series over the next week or so.

So, we're away from the Dooku episodes, and back to Ahsoka with Tales of the Jedi: Episode 5: Practice Makes Perfect, and by heck it packs an emotional gut punch, by showing us something we've already seen, but from a slightly different point of view.
The finale tomorrow, and then Andor Episode 9 the following day, before returning finally to Return of the Jedi.
