October/2017 UPDATES

30/October/2017 Posted by Freddy

Just a quick couple of updates today from yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 15: Senate Murders, firstly I've added Tan Divo (Coruscant Police Inspector) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section, and his A43 Hushabye pistol to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment/Weapons Section of the Site.

You may also notice the addition of the Star Wars Canon section on the left hand menu <--. Over the years the result of many people sharing links to RPGGamer as a source of Star Wars information is usually the abrupt reply to them that "It's fanon", so I've added a section which shows only the official things on the site for each of the three official era's. These can now be shared without people moaning. They may also be useful if gaming in any of these eras and wanting to just see stats for things from that time.

A few more things from the two episodes of Clone Wars I reviewed, and none of them were what I intended to review, I actually sat down to do Mandalorian Armour, but instead you've got, Mitrinomon Transports Z-6 Rocket/Jetpack, Death Watch blaster carbine, Deactivator hold-out pistol and The DarkSaber all added to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment Section of the Site.

Two reviews yesterday, partially by accident, and a little due to me wanting to take a day off, the reviews were Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 13: Voyage of Temptation and Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 14: Duchess of Mandalore, from which I've added, the Assassin droid and it's Probe killers, plus the Coruscant Police probe droid and Vendor droid, all added to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment/Droids Section, and the Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. JT-12 jetpack added to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment Section, and finally the Coruscant Airbus added to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section of the Site.

I also wanted to ask visitors about the era's of the Star Wars Universe. I wanted to have a bit of a tidy up of these, what I'm proposing to sort everything into.

  • Old Republic (Pre-Episode 1)

  • Rise of the Empire (Episode 1-3 including Clone Wars)

  • Imperial Era (Rebels, Rogue One, and Episodes 4-6)

  • First Order Era (Episodes 7+)

I'll leave intact the Sith Uprising and Legacy Era's, to contain the Fanon stuff I created for my own Campaign, and the now "Legends" official sequel era of Legacy.

I'm not absolutely set on the names, as I'm considering Clone Wars, or Prequel for the Rise of the Empire Era, and Sequel for the First Order Era. But I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone has about setting these, naming them, etc.

        Thanks

The episode I reviewed yesterday, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 12: The Mandalore Plot, introduced us to Mandalore and it's technology and vessels, so a whole load of additions to the site today. The WESTAR-35 blaster pistol and the Mandalorian Force staff added to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment Section, the Kalevala Spaceworks Custom luxury spaceliner Coronet, the MandalMotors Akajor-class shuttle and the MandalMotors Komrk-class fighter/transport all added to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section, and the Mandalorian automated transport and the MandalMotors Balutar-class swoop added to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section of the Site.

Not a bad wee haul today.

From yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 11: Lightsaber Lost I've added the Cybot Galactica GU-series Guardian police droid to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment/Droids Section, the SoroSuub Corporation RGC-16 airspeeder and the Aratech Repulsor Company RapidResponse police speeder to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section, and the BlasTech Industries SS-410 Police Special blaster pistol to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment/Weapons Section of the Site.

Today only one addition to the site from yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 10: The Deserter, I've added the Clone trooper medic to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT

There's a theory going around at the moment based on some of the artwork being shown, that Luke is going to be the bad guy in the next movie, The Last Jedi. Well I'm sorry to say, that Luke has been the hero of Star Wars for me since I was six years old, and 40 years later he's a character that I've grown to trust. So sorry makers of Star Wars, I'll trust him, and if he decides that Rey needs to die because she's dangerous, I believe him rather than someone I've only seen in 1 movie.

        Anyway, just a thought.

Hello everyone. Something new I did for fun, Force Skill: Invert, another new Force skill with 21 powers. This, combined with Force Skill: Focus and its related powers, could make your Star Wars games more interesting, depending on how you apply them. I also did some editing on Focus, and wound up adding some new powers (Quicken Force, Quicken Force In Another). Also swapped the pics, thought they were more fitting that way. Other stuff I did for fun are Kryptonians, racial stats that do include their well known powers, but compared to Force abilities they shouldn't be too overpowered as presented here, and the Slayn & Corpil H-60 Tempest Bomber. I thought I had seen stats for that one here somewhere, but couldn't find them again. Anyways, I had done this one up with some new bomber weapon rules that I hope someone finds useful.

Comments and feedback welcome. Especially on the Force skills. Focus has had some editing, though Invert may get some later too.

Today a couple from yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 9: Grievous Intrigue, the Kuat Drive Yards Arquitens-class light cruiser and the Cygnus Spaceworks Eta-class shuttle both added to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the Site.
The Arquitens-class light cruiser is one of my absolute favourites out of the animated series (Rebels has a slightly updated version, but they're basically the same ship). However, this brings up a slight problem with crew numbers on Star Wars ships, comparing this to the Pelta-class frigate added a couple of days ago, they're both around the same size (325 Meters to 282.24), they've both got similar numbers of weapons (12 on the Arquitans to 8 on the Pelta), but their crew numbers don't match up at all. The Arquitans lists 2 Crew + (at least) 10 passengers, compared to the Peltas 800 Crew and 300 Passengers.
Now, I've increased the numbers on the Arquitans, making the 2 a skeleton crew level, and since you see the Pelta with only 2 pilots, I've made 2 the skeleton crew for that as well. But given that the Arquitans is the more efficient combat vessel and is larger, it seems really quite odd that WookieePedia (and the sources they use) have decided that the Arquitens isn't much more than a glorified Lambda class shuttle, while the Pelta is a massively crewed battle cruiser.
        Just thought it mentioning . . .

From yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 8: Brain Invaders, today I've added, the BlasTech Industries DC-15A blaster rifle and theBlasTech Industries DC-15S Blaster carbine to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment/Weapons Section, and the MandalMotors Interstellar tug and the Kuat Drive Yards Pelta-class frigate to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the Site.
The DC-15A is an updated version of the Clone Trooper Rifle that I first added to the site way back when Episode 2: Attack of the Clones came out, and the updated version is based around the fact that there's far more information available now, so the Rifles high power mode has been added. The strange thing I find about both the weapons, is that they have massively more ammunition available than the later weapons. For example the DC-15S Blaster Carbine has 500 shots, whereas the E-11 normally only has 100 (although with Plasma Cartridges can be extended to 500). As often happens in the Star Wars universe, technology doesn't necessarily seem to improve over time, perhaps the universe is in decline due to all the wars . . .

Today I've added from yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 7: Legacy of Terror, Karina the Great to the Star Wars D/6 Characters/NPC's Section, Geonosian Brain Worm to the Star Wars D/6 Characters/Creatures Section, Baktoid Armor Workshop Armored Assault Tank (AAT) to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section, and the Comlink booster pack to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment Section of the Site.

I'd intended to do more today, but I've been making mistakes and messing things up since I sat down, deleting and losing work, uploading the wrong images, all sorts of simple mistakes which have made this take much longer than it usually does. Some days just aren't a success, and today seems like one of them.

This is the fourth version of the AAT added to the site (and hopefully the best), I've taken elements from the previous versions (making it Speeder Scale for example), and used the more accurate information from Wookieepedia (giving it 4 different weapons rather than the 3 most previous versions used). Hopefully this should be the definitive version, but having all 4 versions available gives you the choice of using whatever you want, which is kind of out ethos. :D

Hello all. Got another somethin' I did for fun. Force Skill: Focus. Not only does this place a new Force Skill in Star Wars D6 games, but the entry also lists 25 new powers. The powers are loose and vague, as people may disagree on specifics. Please feel free to use Focus and the related powers as you see fit. This dates back to my gaming old days. Focus was originally made by a member of my old gaming group, but over time it was expanded upon, for better or for worse. Hope you enjoy. Either way, please feel free to leave comments on your thoughts.[EDIT] BTW, I should also mention one of those 25 powers allows you to open a Hyperspace wormhole, among other goodies...

Based o yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 6: Weapons Factory, today I've added the Baktoid Armor Workshop Prototype Super Tank to the Star Wars D/6 Vehicles Section of the Site.
Another very busy day so didn't have chance to do more, however I've also had the site being optomised, and I've compressed the images on the site, dropping some 250mb from the size of the images directory (and hopefully helping a bunch of the newer pages load a lot quicker). Anyway, the process is still to be completed and I've got a few other maintenance type things to do over the coming days.

From yesterdays review of, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 5: Landing at Point Rain, I've added the BlasTech Industries BT X-42 flamethrower to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment Section, the Clone flame trooper (who uses the flamethrower), the Clone tank gunner and the Special ops clone trooper to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.
I was going to make it a total Clone Trooper Assault today by doing the Pilot Clone Trooper as well, but didn't have time to research all of his equipment as they are detailed as carrying one of the heaviest loads in the Clone Army with Bacta, Medical Packs, Ammunition, Time Bombs and Bolt Casters in addition to a weapon and armour. No doubt they will receive attention soon.

Since there wasn't a lot interesting in yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 4: Senate Spy, I had problems coming up with anything interesting to stat, so today all I've added is the main antagonist from the episode, Baron Rush Clovis (Banking Guild Representative) to the Star Wars D/6 Characters Section of the Site.

From yesterdays review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 2 Episode 3: Children of the Force, today I've added, the Utilitech RO Series Nanny Droid to the Star Wars D/6 Equipment/Droids Section, the Slayn & Korpil T-6 shuttle and the Kuat Systems Engineering Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor to the Star Wars D/6 Starships Section of the Site.
While I was watching the episode, I spotted the T-6 Shuttle, and thought that it was amazing looking, and while reading up on it, I discovered that the writers also thought it was, and much prefered the design to that of the G9 Rigger that Anakin uses. So they began using the T-6 more and more, so I'm looking forwards to seeing more of it (and possibly a revisit if it ever demonstrates it has weapons).
Today also revisits the Aethersprite Fighter, although I'm cheating slightly by making it the 7B version, which is slightly different.

Just fixed the Recent Comments box on the front page (over there --> ), to actually show the pages which have the most recent comments on them, instead of brokenly just showing the pages which have most recently began having comments on them.

I think this'll be more useful for me, hopefully for all you too.
