The Pillar of Autumn. The first level of the first Halo game, Combat Evolved. The moment the opening game cinematic begins back in 2001, I would have sworn the ship, Pillar of Autumn, took inspiration from the Sulaco of the movie Aliens. As the scene progresses, we see the UNSC marines assembling into formation in the Pillar's hangar deck, warthogs and pelican dropships moving about, preparing for war. The marines look similar to the Colonial Marines from Aliens. The pelican is reminiscent of the CM Cheyenne dropship. And the warthog, while not a CM APC, looks like it comes from the same design philosophy and the two wheeled vehicles would be at home driving side by side in an mobile military unit. Driving the point home further, progressing through the game, the Elites look somewhat like Xenomorphs, but more like Predators. Even more so when you face the ones that cloak. And then later when I'd learn the movie Demolition Man was also an inspiration for the game (John Spartan was the main character in the film).

A bit late, but I wanted to start something for Halo's 20th anniversary. Today I've added Frag Grenade (HS1 2021), M6D Pistol (HS1 2021), MA5B Assault Rifle (HS1 2021), Plasma Grenade (HS1 2021), Plasma Pistol (HS1 2021), and Plasma Rifle (HS1 2021) to Weapons D6, Sangheili "Elites" (HS1 2021), Unggoy "Grunts" (HS1 2021), Kig-Yar "Jackals" (HS1 2021), and Halo AI Character PCs/NPCs (HS1 2021) to Races D6, and Halo D6 Optional Rules v1.0 to Supplements D6. My overall intention is to start going through the games, level by level, and convert/stat up what i come across for D6. I'd like to take a crack at writing adventures for each level as well. This batch is not everything I wanted to have finished for Pillar Of Autumn, but I wanted to just get a start. Looking at the older Halo write-ups, I wasn't quite sure which ones were my own or someone else's, and my perspective on writing up stats has changed a bit since the last time I took a crack at it. So....I thought I'd start over for the 20th anniversary. My stats say (HS1 2021) beside them to tell them apart from my older stats, in case there's any major differences.

Halo D6 Optional Rules has information on creating Spartan characters (Spartan I through IV), as well as most generic suits of Mjolnir powered armor, AI characters, MAC Guns, various weapon details, adapting some gameplay from the Halo games to D6 rules....it's not comprehensive, or not as much as I'd like, but if you want to get a quick start on a D6 Halo game, or adapt a Spartan and some gear into Star Wars D6, it should help you out and point you in the right direction.

It also has a rules option with a different take on energy shields to make them function more like they do in the Halo games.

All in all, if anyone has opinions on things to change or add, feel free to add them in the comments. The rules options is v1.0, I intend to improve on and add to it over time.

Merry Christmas everyone.

P.S.- After posting this, I realized i did not mention The Flood in the Halo D6 Rules Options. Well, they're there now!
