01/February/2023 Posted by Freddy

I can't remember if I mentioned it on the site, but a couple of years ago (before the pandemic) I ran a Roleplaying Group for kids at my local community center. My youngest son and his friends, as well as sons of other members of the RPG group I've played in for 30+ years were part of it, as well as some other local kids. As well as running Star Wars, I also Gamesmastered Dungeons and Dragons for them, and while using the Forgotten Realms setting, I also put a particularly Scottish theme to it by using monsters mainly drawn from Scottish folklore.
Well, while I'll go back to my normal Star Wars updates tomorrow (with a review of this weeks Bad Batch), I'd like to add the monsters I created for D&D, basically one per day over the course of February. Starting today with the Kelpie, as I used to work at a place opposite a Scottish Loch supposedly inhabited by a Kelpie whose fire would stop the centre of the Loch from freezing over in the winter. . . .
