Biography
R4-E1 was capable of repairing and piloting numerous vehicles. R4-E1 developed a rambunctious, fiercely independent personality. He was the companion of the spacer, smuggler and outlaw tech, BoShek.

In 0 BBY, R4-E1 was passing by Mos Eisley's Spaceport Speeders when Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi sold Skywalker's X-34 landspeeder to help pay Han Solo for passage to Alderaan.
