Description: In Scottish folklore, the Baobhan Sith, also known as the White Women of the Scottish Highlands, is a supernatural creature that preys on unwary travelers in the countryside. She is often described as a beautiful and seductive woman who lures her victims with her charms before revealing her true form and attacking them.

Appearance
The Baobhan Sith is usually depicted as a tall and slender woman with long flowing hair and piercing eyes. Her skin is pale and flawless, and she is often seen wearing a long white dress that seems to shimmer in the moonlight. Her beauty is said to be enchanting, and many who have seen her have fallen under her spell.

However, the Baobhan Sith is not always what she seems. When she reveals her true form, her beauty fades away, and she becomes a pale, emaciated creature with sharp claws and fangs. She has bat-like wings that she uses to fly through the night sky, and her eyes glow with an eerie green light.

Behavior
The Baobhan Sith is known to be a nocturnal creature, and she is most often seen at night. She is said to roam the Scottish countryside, looking for unwary travelers to prey upon. When she finds a victim, she will use her seductive charms to lure them in, often pretending to be a lost traveler herself. Once she has gained their trust, she will reveal her true form and attack.

It is said that the Baobhan Sith has a particular fondness for the blood of men, and she will often drain her victims of their life force before disappearing into the night. She is a solitary creature and is rarely seen in the company of others of her kind.

Origins
The origins of the Baobhan Sith are unclear, but she is believed to be a creature from Scottish folklore that has been passed down through the generations. Some stories suggest that she was once a human woman who was cursed by a witch, while others believe that she is a creature of the faerie realm.

In some versions of the legend, the Baobhan Sith is said to be the ghost of a woman who died a violent death. Others believe that she is a demon who has taken on the form of a woman to better prey upon her victims.

While I like some of the added information above to add to what D&D utilise about this great monster, I do not agree with the contradictory approach of correctly describing her as Fey and that calling her a Vampire. She is not a Vampire, as all Vampires are undead and were never fey folk, merely humanoids, mainly Humans and Elves turned by such creatures. Scottish folklore makes the point that Baobhan Siths DON'T turn male humans and elves (their preferred prey) into spawn to enslave, they simply seduce and then kill them or kill them full stop, AND once they've done so, they rip them into tiny pieces with their inhumanly strong arms and claws, while using their teeth to rip through the jugular and tearing the throat wise open. Attractive male Humans and Elves they just want to screw and kill to feat on their blood.

They also have no affinity for animals beyond turning into a Raven (No Bats or Wolves here: this is the sole preserve of the Moroi Vampire-the one we usually see portrayed on film), and don't even drink their blood, and tend to flee from them if they're aggressive or are protecting the prey they want to kill. Tales have told of dogs guarding their masters, while the monsters flee from them, and horses shod with iron will never be approached, so being on them or standing beside or among them is a great defence, as iron is detrimental and deadly to fey creatures, They don't always dress in white, it can be green or even black robes, usually tied round the waist with a brightly coloured pink or purple scarf. But they also wear tight fitting robes that constantly mask their feet as they move-to hide the fact that they don't have feet at all, but deer hooves! Finally, even in throes of ecstatic pleasure as they seduce and kill their victims, they stay looking slim, voluptuous and stunningly beautiful, as proof of their fey heritage, and the fact they maintain their elfin beauty while doing the most disgusting. inhumane things to handsome men and male Elves is surely one of the biggest sucker punches out there.. Plus it's been said they don't even need to drink blood for survival, they do it for orgasmic thrills! Plus they're plain evil, and they may even kill unattractive (to them) males if either desperate or simply out of spite, but it is said they avoid females of any race entirely, so it's likely a female warrior could stop any man (if he believes her and not stunned) from becoming dinner. Same sex-attraction is typically neglected, but it's likely Baobhan Siths would avoid women entranced by them or just ignore them, or push them away. Gay men would be treated differently I'm sure: shocked that any male would resist them, and likely not fathom why, would probably run away or perhaps attack him in a rage, though he may be ready if armed with iron or magic weaponry or have animal companions to chase her away or attack her. I like how you add she can resist some fire, lightning and cold (cheekily unexplained though). but all in all only some detail here works.
