Description: The Galactech PH-5 Power Gloves system consists of a belt mounted power supply and regulation system hooked by cables to two gloves which when activated become sheathed in a power field of energy which can aid the user in tearing through most substances. Although they have obvious combat uses, they were originally designed to help in rescue situations where they can be used to tear through collapsed supports and doorways, as well as heavier shipboard bulkheads and blast doors. They have become common for shipboard incident teams across the galaxy, but are more recognisable from being used by brawlers and hired muscle, especially since as rescue equipment they are not detected by many automatic weapon sensor systems.
