Hmm Good write up. A bit confused on the shape tho. I found another YT-1600 that doesn't look anything like this one. forward central cockpit is same. but the ship is more almond shape. Possible a mix up in ships?

Like most of the stuff on here the 1600 is fan made, so obviously two different sets of people laid claim to 1600, and their ideas weren't the same (the only other one I can find on the web is a Lego one).

For another example of this, look at the artwork for the Z-95 headhunter, and try to match it up to the description of an aerodynamic fighter with swept back wings and a bubble canopy given in its first appearance in Han Solo at Stars End.

in addition to saving this write-up, I'll probably make 2 of my own, for civilian and military models, and fit them into the 'Delta' design lineage I made. Circa 2005-08, I was in a tabletop campaign set in the KotOR-era. I made a Corellian Assault Ship, the Delta-47. I hope I still have the original designs I drew up on graphpaper, but I kept it a simple, chiseled arrowhead shape, so it could literally punch through a larger ship's hull and disgorge commandos into the enemy vessel. I used the stats from the Millennium Falcon (Ep.IV) but made it twice as long.
The design I envisioned would be continued both by CEC and the Mandalorian Clan started by my character (who was going Mando in game) and the Mandalorian NPC he had a relationship with (which I used as the basis for one of my main Legacies in SWTOR).
I'll probably make them the YD-1600 & YD-1600c respectively, the latter being the civilian model.
