Description: The Amban sniper rifle was a type of disruptor sniper rifle used by the bounty hunter known as "the Mandalorian."

This rifle was capable of vaporizing, electrocuting and shooting enemies. The weapon utilized solid slugs that would disintegrate a target on contact, cementing its reputation as a firearm to be feared. The front of the rifle was double-pronged, essentially acting as a taser if necessary, delivering a strong shock to opponents.

Around 9 ABY, "the Mandalorian" used this rifle on several missions. On his expedition to claim the bounty on a Mythrol, he used the taser function on a ravinak that attacked the Razor Crest.

After being commissioned by the Client to acquire the Child on Arvala-7, the Mandalorian used it as a scouting scope and sniper rifle against Trandoshan bounty hunters, Jawas that had stripped his ship for parts, and a Mudhorn that protected an egg that was used to barter his ship parts back.

The Mandalorian later used the weapon's taser function on an Imperial remnant stormtrooper while rescuing the Child from their compound. He also used it against Greef Karga and members of the Bounty Hunters' Guild during an ambush following the Child's rescue.

While defending a human tribe's village on Sorgan, the Mandalorian used the weapon against an invading Klatooinian tribe. When the Klatooinian AT-ST Raider failed to activate their trap, he gave the rifle to Cara Dune, who then jumped into the pond and fired at the walker in order to bait it.

"Mandalorians have a bonus to aiming"!?!? Where the hell did you get that nonsense from? You make that sound like a racial bonus. Mandos are mostly just humans that follow a specific code, culture, and way of life. In any RPG, it's the character's skills, class, etc, that show this off. In the case of D6, pick combat skills at character creation, and train it up for all it's worth.

The devices you mention may add in the use of the weapon, but it does not have to be cumulative +1Ds across the board for it all. It could just be a pip here, a pip there, and add up to "maybe" +1D. It doesn't have to be so powerful that it's broken.

Due to over a decade of past experiences with the wrong people to game with, I got sick of absolutely anything that looks or sounds like power gaming. This qualifies, so I'm adding my two cents here. Compared to other weapons in the game books, this rifle is badass as is! 6D is hella damage, and that scope reducing range penalties by one level would be a godsend. If players were just starting out with basic starter gear, this is the kind of weapon they'd be trying to work their way up to if done right.

Oh yeah, Freddy, my original question here, does the stunner and disintegrator have the same 6D damage???

Everyone wants to make Mandalorians uber, but game balance says no I'm afraid.

I hadn't even thought about the stunner, but it did seem pretty powerful, so for the sake of simplicity keeping the damage the same seems to make sense.

I certainly believe Mando's rifle hits harder than Boba's, so 7D makes much more sense. Also, the ones disintegrating have no armor or minimal armor, so the +25 damage vs. save to disintegrate also makes for clean game play.

In regards to the stun effect, the Deck Sweeper has a stun damage of 6D, the highest I recall seeing and Mando's stunner did a hell of a job on the Revenak. 6D makes perfect sense.
