Description: Lanupa, also known as The Demon's Rest or Battle World, was a mountainous neutral planet located in the galaxy. It was home of the Skull Ridge Mountain, atop which was located the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa, formerly a fearsome pirate stronghold that boasted torturous execution acid baths and fighting pits. SM-33 was outraged at how they had "ruined it!" with visiting pleasure yachts, spa, mud baths (fed by natural hot springs), bacta soaks and buffets ("food for weaklings!"). Lanupa was also the homeworld of the Trash crab, a species of crab that wore pieces of technological scrap on their back.
During the New Republic Era, as the luxury spa did not admit children, the crew of the Onyx Cinder (Fern, Wim, Neel, KB, the droid SM-33 and Jod Na Nawood) had to adopt new identities: the children as the "Most Wise Elders" from the Bratric System, and Jod Na Nawood as the probable Muun Professor Umiam Gorelox.

The Force-sensitive human Jod Na Nawood studied Ur-Kittât writing on a wall as the Myykian Neel watched, before they discovered the abandoned Captain Rennod's Lair and found the coordinates to At Attin.

Nawood's former pirate crew invaded Lanupa in search of the Nawood after being tipped off by the bounty hunter Pokkit. They managed to capture Nawood and SM-33, before fleeing the planet as a squadron of New Republic X-wing starfighters chased them off, resulting one of the two pirate vessels being shot down.

Meanwhile, the Skeleton Crew managed to recover the Onyx Cinder, but as the ship was pinned by a garbage machine, they were forced to purge the hull, allowing them to break free and depart Lanupa.

Skull Ridge Mountain
Skull Ridge Mountain was a snow covered mountain on the planet Lanupa. It was once home to a pirate lair owned by Dread pirate Tak Rennod. By the time of the New Republic Era the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa was situated on top of the mountain.

Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa
Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa was a location that was situated on top of the Skull Ridge Mountain on the planet Lanupa.
From its previous role as Captain Rennod's Lair, the facilities had altered quite drastically. The acid baths that used to be used for execution, for example, had been converted into mud baths for paying guests to the exclusive and child-free hotel and spa. Likewise, the former fighting pits had undergone a reconstruction into the modern spa.

These changes greatly angered SM-33, who initally thought a pair of pleasure yachts were a crew of pirates.

Captain Rennod's Lair
Captain Rennod's Lair was a secret lair for the Pirate Captain Tak Rennod that was located under the Mud Pits of the Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa on the planet Lanupa.

Sensory Gymnasium
The Sensory Gymnasium was a facility located in Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa on the planet Lanupa during the New Republic Era.

A former pirate world, Lanupa was visited by pirate Jod Na Nawood around 9 ABY. Accompanied by four younglings, the man was shown around the hotel by its director, who pointed at the Sensory Gymnasium from afar. Unbeknownst to the hotelier, the guests were after Captain Rennod's Lair, located somewhere within the hotel. As Jod and the children devised their operational plan in a suite later on, the man suggested that the girl KB penetrate the Sensory Gymnasium after she refused to go to the spa. Finally, however, none of the off-worlders went to the Gymnasium due to task-distrubution issues.
