Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures: Season 1: Story 48: Nashs Super Busy Day

What is it ? : Kai visits Nash at her families garage, only to find her rushed off her feet helping customers. She tells him that she's got deliveries to make, and customers to deal with and the garage to tidy.
Kai suggests he helps, he'll take the Crimson Firehawk and perform all the deliveries while she helps the customers, and then when he returns they'll tidy together. She warns him that she's organised the packages aboard the ship by delivery, but if he flies the ship too erratically the packages will move and he'll have to work out who gets what.
He takes the ship and makes the first delivery fine, but thinks that if he flies faster he'll be done quicker and be able to help her tidy sooner, so he races to the next destination. When he arrives, the packages are everywhere, and he asks the customer what their parcel looked like, and gives them one which looks like that.
Continuing with his deliveries, we see customers getting the wrong parcels, and after a while Kai realises what he's done, so races back to fix it, but crashes the ship in his hurry and has to call Nash to help.
She arrives and is upset, but Kai suggests doing what she did in the first place, asking for help, so they call Lys and Nubs, and the 4 of them manage to collect the misdelivered parcels and get them to the right customers.
Returning to the garage they quickly tidy the place, with the Young Jedi helping with their force powers, and Nash's parents arrive and are pleased by everything being done. Although as everyone walks away a pile of boxes falls over, as it hadn't been stacked properly in their rush. . . .

High Points : A fairly well done story of "more speed less haste", as the old saying goes, plus one on asking for help when you need it. It's slightly amusing to see the parcels delivered to many recurring characters, with Hap wanting a new ladle, a musician getting a new instrument, and Zepher (the mechanic) getting a new wrench.
It totally stereo types the characters, and it would have been a nice moment to flesh out the characters by showing us things they're interested in outside their usual niche.
But seeing Haps happiness at getting a new ladle is just kind of fun.

Low Points : How much stuff do these people rely on the Durango's getting delivered, almost every character we've ever seen in the series shows up in this one, queuing at the garage to arrange a delivery, or getting one made. I guess they've got the Space Amazon contract and are run off their feet by it.

So what do you really think ? : There's not much to this one at all, Kai mixes up the deliveries because he's in a rush so they ask for help getting it done, hardly Jedi action, but it's light, fun and over quickly, so not too bad.

Final Words : The message to the kids in this one is definitely the old adage, "more speed, less haste", but also a reminder to ask for help when you need it.
And we're getting right to the end of the series now, which seems to have lasted so long, I'm hoping they don't rush to release a new season.

Score : 7.5/10
