Description: As the Clone Wars continued, the Delta-7 starfighter was proving itself a weak combat vessel, and the work on the Eta-2 Actis Interceptor began. However some of the radical design elements in the Eta-2 required testing before they could be incorporated into the new fighter. And rather than leave the Jedi waiting for the new design, they rolled out evolutionary design of the Delta-7 including some elements from the Eta-2. This Delta-Eta hybrid only saw a construction run of a dozen or so fighters, but these were faster and better armed than the original Delta-7, using the weapons array and solar panels that were eventuall incorporated into the Eta-2.
