Description: Loth-bats were a species of giant bat native to the planet Lothal in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. They were known to travel in packs and had the ability to glide over long distances, as well as roost under the eaves of buildings. They were able to produce strained and high-pitched squeals, which were reported to unnerve patrolling stormtroopers at night. Agent Kallus of the Imperial Security Bureau once mentally compared the Grand Inquisitor, a gaunt Pau'an who dressed in black, to a Loth-bat.
