Description: The Darius G-class freighter was a type of freighter commonly used throughout the galaxy.

A large ship capable of carrying large amounts of cargo, the Darius G possessed a chin mounted ramp that opened up into a long multi-roomed cargo hold with tall ceilings. The Darius G also possessed two large cylindrical engines offset by two smaller engines, and sported four large stabilizers. The main hallways of the Darius G were large and spacious, and contained several blast doors, while the ship also possessed one-person escape pods of a narrow blocky design. The Darius G was equipped with a number of these pods, with Teroj Kees ship holding eighteen escape pods on its ventral surface.

During the cold war, Darius G-class freighters brought fuel shipments to the refueling station Colossus, on the ocean planet Castilon. The Colossus' fuel shipments aboard the freighters were a common prey for pirates. Transport TY-700 was used to deliver Major Elrik Vonreg to the platform for negotiations with Captain Imanuel Doza.

One Darius G-class freighter in the Castilon system, carrying Kowakian monkey-lizards and a Kowakian ape-lizard, was attacked by members of Kragan Gorr's Warbird gang. When the freighter sent out a distress call, Poe Dameron and Kazuda Xiono, who had been in a nearby asteroid field, went to investigate it.

Later, Kazuda Xiono would follow Teroj Kee into a Darius G's cargo hold in pursuit of a stolen phase connector. Inside of the ship, Kazuda tricked the pet Gorg Bitey into biting a Power coupling that led to the ship's electrode systems, causing the ship to lose power and crash into the oceans of Castilon as all aboard abandoned ship in the Darius G escape pods.

the cargo capacity seems a bit low for its size. i would have put the cargo capacity at least 10 times the amount to 80,000 tons.
to compare, an action VI is 125 meters in length and it has a cargo capacity of 90,000 metric tons

Do you think those modules on the sides are removable cargo containers?
They appear to be of a slightly different design, which made me think they might be modular.

personally, i would put the cargo capacity at around 25,000 metric tons internal capacity with at least 60,000 metric tons cargo capacity in the external cargo containers.

also, having looked at the wookieepedia page for the Darius G-class freighter, i noticed that in one of the pictures it clearly shows a forward turret on the starboard side of the lower forward section of the hull. looking at the full sized picture it shows it to be on the port side as well. also there appears to be a turret on the dorsal surface of the ship.

Used your recommendations for the cargo, also looking further, it looks as if there's weapons mounted under the engines at the back as well.
This will all probably need revised if they get around to releasing a Resistance Visual Guide.

My comments are based on long time running the game and finding weaknesses in the usual numbers.

Disagree with the above poster. While he is correct that the Action VI has a listed 80000 ton capacity, the problem is that that isn't a realistic number for a vessel of that size. Compare that load out with the capacity of standard light freighters. This is a ship that is only like 50 times the volume of a light freighter but has like 700-800 times the cargo capacity. That makes zero sense. The Action VI is probably overrated by factor of like 8 and should have something like 10000 ton capacity which makes more sense given the scale and size relative to other vessels.

Suggest the real stats on this ship are internal hold of 8000 tons plus 40 250 ton external pods with a total capacity of 18000 tons. That's still like 100 or more light freighters worth of cargo.

If you are really using dual lasers cannons, 4D capital ship scale damage is outrageous. This isn't a war ship that is meant to blast apart other capital ships! That's a massively heavy armament and more akin to dual turbo laser batteries. These guns are meant to engage pirates not frigates, and as such 2D damage is plenty. Conversely, dual laser cannons because they are meant to track light vessels usually have superior fire control. On a civilian ship 2D+2 fire control wouldn't be out of line, but 3D+2 fire control wouldn't be out of the range of feasible.

I think the sensors are too high of quality for a vessel of this class. Most vessels of this class use x3 hyperdrives to save costs and fuel. And skeleton crews on vessels of this type are usually just 2-4. Six is a full shift and I wouldn't penalize a crew of six operating the vessel on short hauls of under 12 hours or so. You only need that full 18 on jumps that last long enough that the crew needs rest.
