Description: Bogden was a many-mooned world located in the Inner Rim, along the Hydian Way, between Arkania and Ploo.
Orbited by 20 moons, Bogden suffered from the immense pressures of gravitational tides, and the planet's surface was literally pulled apart. The few who called Bogden home were forced to adapt to the shifting, seismic terrain, though most of Bogden's visitors were outlaws on the run, smugglers, or bounty hunters.
The Bogden system was known as a notable spice-smuggling system.
The planet was homeworld of giant renda bears.
Bogden joined the Galactic Republic prior to the Indecta Era. During the Alsakan Conflicts, it supported Alsakan.
The planet once suffered a catastrophic war which lasted a thousand years. This interplanetary conflict for the control of the system devastated the orbit and surface of Bogden. The planet was now surrounded by a ring of debris of hundred of thousands destroyed starships and only ruins remained at the surface from the civilization that once inhabited the planet.
Eventually, the Bando Gora, led by Komari Vosa, used Bogden's moon Kohlma as a base of operations for their plans of galactic domination. Jango Fett was hired to track down Komari Vosa, and eventually discovered the war-ravaged moon. After the death of Vosa, Jango was recruited by Count Dooku to be the prime template for the Clone Army and the Bando Gora presumably collapsed. Shortly before his encounter with Komari Vosa, Jango defeated his rival, Montross, and left him to face a grueling end at the hands of the Bando Gora cultists.
During the Clone Wars, Bogden remained loyal to the Republic.
The planet was a New Republic stronghold during the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Moons
Bog moon of Bogden
The bog moon of Bogden was a moon of the Inner Rim planet Bogden. It was used as a hideout by the pirate Gir Kybo Ren-Cha after he made his escape from Tammuz-an, bringing along Princess Gerin Toda as a hostage. It was on the bog moon that he was recaptured in a skirmish between his gang and the Tammuz-an warriors led by Lord Malameu Toda and King Mon Julpa.
Bogden 3
Bogden 3, or Bogden Three, was one of the twenty moons of Bogden, a planet located in the Inner Rim.
Just before the Clone Wars, the Jedi Order built a small chapter house on Bogden 3 to accommodate Jedi younglings awaiting to be trained on Coruscant. K'Kruhk and Sian Jeisel stopped there after the Siege of Saleucami when their Theta-class T-2c shuttle was damaged en route to Mygeeto. At this point, Order 66 was given to their accompanying clone troopers, and Sian was killed while buying time for K'Kruhk and a group of Jedi younglings from the Soaring Hawkbat Clan to escape.
Bogg 2
Bogg 2 was a moon of Bogden. It was covered in rocks and dirt. Once per orbit, it passed close enough to Bogg 9 to share atmosphere. Counterfeiters sent fake Republic credits from Bogg 2 to Bogg 9 via balloons, then claimed the counterfeit credits were stolen, receiving real credits in recompense.
Bogg 4
Bogg 4 was one of the many moons of Bogden. Bogg 4 was a haven for petty thieves, bounty hunters, and cheating dock managers who took anyone's ships who were gullible enough to trust them.
Bogg 4 had an ever-shifting gravitational pull from the myriad of moons around it, with their gravity sometimes canceling out, sometimes combining. Gravity shifted so rapidly that it made walking difficult.
Young Boba Fett visited Bogg 4 in 22 BBY, and while there, he left Slave I with "Honest" Gjon, who took his ship and his credits. However, he then met another thief, Aion, in the local cantina called The Bonny Bounty. Although Aion was a pickpocket, he helped Boba to locate the Slave I where Gjon had taken the ship to be smelted. But when the two of them stole thousands of counterfeit credits, Aion betrayed him; taking his share as well as Boba's. This incident caused Boba to become more distrustful in the future.
Bogg 5
Bogg 5, or Bogg V, was one of the moons of Bogden, a planet located on the Inner Rim of the galaxy. In 22 BBY, bounty hunter Cad Bane transported Jedi Master Ring-Sol Ambase to Bogg 5, where he surrendered the captive Jedi to Asajj Ventress.
Bogg 9
Bogg 9 was a moon of Bogden. It was covered in rocks and dirt. Once per orbit, it passed close enough to Bogg 2 to share atmosphere. Counterfeiters sent fake Republic credits from Bogg 2 to Bogg 9 via balloons, then claimed the counterfeit credits were stolen, receiving real credits in recompense. Also, it was popular among pirates to raid the balloons as they passed by.
Bogg 11
Bogg 11 was a moon of Bogden. It often passed close enough to Bogg 4 for the two moons to share atmosphere. Boba Fett, traveling together with Aia, found the stolen Slave I there.
Kohlma
Kohlma, also known as the Moon of the Dead, was a moon of the planet Bogden.
Following a catastrophic war on Bogden, Kohlma was set up as a memorial tomb for those who had fallen. It would later be the secret hideout for Komari Vosa and her cult, the Bando Gora.
After their defeat, it was also where Jango Fett was recruited by Darth Tyranus to become the template of the clone army in 32 BBY.
