Description: Ranzar Malk, known as "Ran," was a human male criminal. Active on a space station in the time of the New Republic, Malk previously worked with the bounty hunter known as the Mandalorian. Malk recruited a team of mercenaries to rescue his associate Qin from a New Republic prison transport, including the Mandalorian, whose gunship, the Razor Crest, was required for boarding the transport. The team, which also included the human Mayfeld, the devaronian Burg, the droid Q9-0, and Qin's sister Xi'an, intended to betray the Mandalorian once Qin was rescued, leaving the bounty hunter on the transport, but the Mandalorian escaped, imprisoning the team in a cell instead. The Mandalorian returned to Malk with Qin, and was given payment, leaving aboard the Razor Crest. Malk ordered a gunship to kill the Mandalorian, but a New Republic squadron exited hyperspace, following the tracker from the prison transport, which the Mandalorian had hidden on Qin. As the Mandalorian escaped, the New Republic pilots fired on the station where Malk operated.
