Description: Seftin Vanik was a human male pilot who served as a lieutenant in the Resistance. Formerly a stunt flyer in an aerial circus that traveled the Messert system, Vanik began to question his loyalties to the galactic government when the New Republic seceded from his homeworld. Vanik was personally recruited into the Resistance by Poe Dameron, where he flew an A-wing starfighter. A daring pilot, Vanik was often teased by his wingmates for his risky maneuvers while in combat with enemy craft, and was nicknamed the "Shield Cooker" due to his habit of flying his own ship through the explosion of his close-proximity hits.

In 35 ABY, Lieutenant Vanik flew his A-wing during the Battle of Exegol, the climactic engagement in the Resistance's war against the First Order. During the battle, his starfighter was shot from the sky and he was killed.
