Description: The guarlara were a species of non-sentient quadrupeds indigenous to the planet Naboo.
Biology and appearance
Guarlara were muscular, four-legged creatures with an elongated muzzle, upright ears, a pair of curved horns, hooved feet, and a tail covered in long hair. They were herbivorous, grazing on plants.
History
The guarlara were indigenous to the grasslands of Naboo, a small pastoral planet located in the Chommell sector of the galaxy's Mid Rim region. The human inhabitants of Naboo used them as ceremonial mounts, as shown in a painting hung in the Naboo Royal Palace.
In Theed, the capital city of the Naboo, the second-nearst archway to the Palace Plaza was topped by two statues representing guarlara. Also, when Queen Amidala wore her Galactic Senate outfit, the hair was fashioned to resemble the horns of a guarlara.
During the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic's starfleet had a Venator-class Star Destroyer christened Guarlara.
