Description: The Tantel armor was a model of armor used mainly prior to the Galactic Civil War. It offered a high degree of protection against energy-based weapons like blasters but lesser protection from kinetic damage. The complete armor set included helmet, breastplate, left and right biceps, left and right bracers, gloves, leggings and boots. It was available in several colors.
Variants of this armor were the Rogue armor sometimes used by smugglers and the First Responder armor appreciated by medics.

History
By the time of the Battle of Yavin, the Tantel armor was rarely used and considered an ancient type.

In 4 ABY, Lando Calrissian, while using the alias "Tamtel Skreej," wore a set of this armor during his attempt to rescue Han Solo in Jabba's Palace.
