Description: The Providence was a starship owned by the pirate and treasure hunter Phee Genoa. Genoa's droid, MEL-221, was frequently destroyed during their adventures, so Genoa kept her memory backed up on the ship's databank, allowing for Mel to be rebuilt.
In around 18 BBY, Genoa docked at a lunar base on an airless moon to refuel her ship. While the service droid Olly refueled the Providence, Genoa and MEL relaxed, and, unbeknownst to them, the clone assassin CX-2 snuck onboard to steal information from the Providence that would help CX-2 locate Clone Force 99. When the assassin inserted a computer spike, it triggered the ship's alarms, although CX-2 was able to quickly disable them before downloading information and escaping.
When a member of Clone Force 99 and Genoa's friend Omega was captured by the Galactic Empire, Genoa volunteered to assist the Bad Batch on a mission to the planet Erebus. The clones joined Genoa aboard the Providence to travel to the Imperial labor camp. To bypass Imperial patrols in the sky, Genoa activated the ship's stealth mode, switching off the engines and manually descending into the lower atmosphere. There, Genoa powered on the engines and flew the Providence low above the planet's muddy terrain, dropping off the squad. A short time later, the Bad Batch had completed their mission, securing the Imperial prisoner Edmon Rampart, and Genoa flew the Providence and successfully extracted them.
