Tatooine Jerba Shepherds Pie

A Recipe for: Jerba (Equine Pack Animal)

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

• 500g Tatooine Jerba meat, minced (if unavailable substitute lamb)
  
• 1 Zeltron onion, finely chopped (if unavailable substitute onion)
  
• 2 Rodian carrots, diced (if unavailable substitute carrots)
  
• 1 cup Alderaanian peas (if unavailable substitute peas)
  
• 2 cloves Endorian garlic, minced (if unavailable substitute garlic)
  
• 2 tablespoons Coruscant olive oil (if unavailable substitute olive oil)
  
• 2 tablespoons Naboo tomato paste (if unavailable substitute tomato paste)
  
• 1 cup Mandalorian beef broth (if unavailable substitute beef broth)
  
• 1 teaspoon Mustafar red pepper flakes (if unavailable substitute red pepper flakes)
  
• Salt and pepper, to taste
  

For the Mashed Potatoes:

• 1 kg Endorian potatoes, peeled and cubed (if unavailable substitute potatoes)
  
• 1/2 cup Thala Siren green milk (if unavailable substitute milk)
  
• 4 tablespoons Endorian butter (if unavailable substitute butter)
  
• Salt and pepper, to taste
  

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
   
2. In a large skillet, heat the Coruscant olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced Zeltron onion and diced Rodian carrots. Sauté until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
   
3. Add the minced Endorian garlic and Tatooine Jerba meat to the skillet. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
   
4. Stir in the Naboo tomato paste and Mustafar red pepper flakes, and cook for another 2 minutes.
   
5. Pour in the Mandalorian beef broth and Alderaanian peas. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat and let it simmer gently for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
   
6. While the filling is simmering, prepare the mashed potatoes. Place the cubed Endorian potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
   
7. Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the Endorian butter and Thala Siren green milk. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
   
8. Transfer the Tatooine Jerba filling to a large-sized baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
   
9. Spread the mashed Endorian potatoes over the top of the filling, creating an even layer.
   
10. Use a fork to create decorative ridges on the surface of the mashed potatoes.
    
11. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the mashed potatoes are golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
    
12. Remove the Tatooine Jerba Shepherd's Pie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
