Model: Blastech DB-25 Security Blaster
Scale: Character
Skill: Blaster; Blaster Pistol
Ammo: 50
Cost: 950 (Power Packs 25)
Availability: 1, F, R or X
Range: 3-15/50/75
Damage: 4D+2

Description: One of the older weapons still sold by Blastech, which although popular before the rise of the Empire, this has now waned and the weapon is due for retirement fairly soon. The luxurious Greel Wood handle is specially coated to draw sweat away from the users palm, keeping their grip on the weapon steady, and the blasters twin sights (Infra Red, and telescopic, giving a +1D bonus to hit at long range and at night (although not compensating for the disadvantages of either)) make the weapon easy to use in a variety of different conditions. Finally the weapons attached grapple hook launcher is something not found on other pistols although fairly common on military blaster rifles. These enhancements made this blaster popular among security and military forces for a long time, combined with a large energy capacity and a decent range, but the expence on what some considered frivolities, its weaker than usual stopping power and increase competition from newer weapons has now put the weapons use into decline, resigning to to second hand and discount markets mainly although it remains a fine weapon.
