Description: The Bleesen Heavy Starfighter was introduced during the Clone Wars, designed as a heavy strafighter capable of dishing out large quantities of damage and surviving similar quantities of damage. The design was very successful managing to surpass most fighters of its era for ruggedness and damage causing capability, however these vessel ceased production for two reasons. The first was Koensayr's Y-Wing Starfighter, which was built around similar premises to the Bleesen but managed to be far more flexible, the other reason was the increasing weapon restrictions of the Empire which forced a number of smaller manufacturers, like the Danier Aerospace Corporation, out of business. Bleesens continue to be used across the galaxy, but their aging design has led to most being consigned to the scrapheap.
