Description: The Flash Speeder was a popular security vehicle before the rise of the Empire, but production was stopped as the Empire seized control of the galaxy as more heavily armed and armoured vehicles were required to keep control during those turbulent years. Although the Flash Speeder is nominally a security speeder, it wasn't really anything more than a civilian speeder with a laser cannon mounted on the back. However the turreted mounting of the laser cannon actually made it far more useful than more heavily armed speeders of the same era. The surviving Flash Speeders are now commonly found in civilian use, often with the laser cannon removed to create extra cargo space and to comply with local weapon restrictions. However a few have fallen into the hands of bounty hunters, and with souped up engines and laser cannons, still make extremely dangerous vehicles to face in combat.
