Description: Although the Sith DreadNaughts have been retrofitted by the Galactic Empire, they are still obviously technology from a bygone era, large lumbering vessels, which can barely stand up to more modern vessels in combat. In fact they would be fazed out of use if the Galactic Sith Empire could afford to lose that many ships, until they can however these ships will remain in use, they are large powerful weapon platforms and still have some use in them yet.

What is the inspiration for this ship? Its history/backstory?
Where/What is the art from?
Is "Galactic Sith Empire" supposed to be the Galactic Empire or Darth Krayt's Sith Empire?
When were these first built & by whom?

1) It's from my Sith Uprising Campaign detailed elsewhere on the site, which I was running around 1999+. The site was originally just a place I put everything for that Campaign (as a project when I was at college), this is an old HTML page which has been around since the site went live in 2002.
2) After 23+ years, I have no idea.
3) No it's from my above mentioned campaign, which was the sith (from the Tales of the Jedi comics) who have returned and allied themselves with the Imperial Remnant after the events of Return of the Jedi.
4) They were originally built around 4000bby, but retrofitted by the Empire for modern service in around 3aby.

Hope that Helps.

It does. Thank you, Freddy!
I missed the art credit to the old DLoS site when i first read through it - i'll try the Wayback Machine later to see if i can find the artist.
I've begun making revisions of this - one for the original version (Tales of the Jedi & KotOR Eras), one for the SWTOR Era refit, one for my House Kylix (Tapani nobles with Jedi/Sith heritage) & a 4th refit for Imperial use in my 15 BBY campaign.
I've given the c.4000 BBY original version Maneuverability: 1D and Atmosphere Speed: 270; 775 kmh. i'm also adding Tractor Beam Projectors but yet to determine how many.
When i finish i'll forward my write-ups to you, which credit you as the original Source.
i may have used your Sith Dreadnaught in my New Republic campaign, c.20-25 ABY, which i started c.2000 & ran off & on till 2011 or so.
