Description: The SoroSuub X-40 is an older design, and a follow up to the X-34 which Luke Skywalker owned. The design was fairly similar, with two powerful engines on either side, allowing the third engine to be removed creating space for cargo to be stored between the speeders two manuevering fins. For worlds with harsher weather conditions, the speeder can be fitted with a dome canopy (which increases cover to 100%), and although not atmospherically sealed, it helps keep the worst of the weather out. However since the canopy opens over the top of the vehicle, this allows rain/ snow /hail/ etc to fall directly into the vehicle, and was considered enough of a problem to keep sales low on worlds where the climate wasn't dry. Although the X-40 shares a lot of spare parts with its earlier ancestors, the engines were totally new, and the low sales meant that spares for the engines can be hard to find, although SoroSuub does still manufacture them.
