Name: Hyperdrive Booster Ring
Type: TransGalMeg Industries Inc Syluire-31 Hyperspace Booster Ring
Scale: Starfighter
Length: 3 Meters
Cost: 8,000 (used)
Hyperdrive Multiplier: X1
Hyperdrive Backup: X12
Nav Computer: Uses Attached Vessels Nav or Astromech
Space: 2
Maneuverability: 0D
Hull: 3D

Description: The Syluire-31 is an external hyperdrive system for the Delta-7 Starfighter, but is useable by a number of other similar fighters, especially those closely related to the Delta-7 which were designed to take advantage of this drive system. The Booster Ring docks to the nose of a snub-fighter design, and enhances the vessel by allowing it use of a hyperdrive system, the ring itself has limited sublight drive systems only enough to allow it to slowly move around orbital docking areas and to maintain its station in a planets orbit. Hyperdrive Booster Rings have become rarer since it became economically viable to put hyperdrives into starfighters, however for the legion of older vessels still in operation, these drive systems are an essential add on. The Booster Rings themselves have no Nav Computers, relying on those on the attached vessel, which is why the Delta-7 comes with a socket for an Astromech droid. The Rings can also be remotely controlled, allowing them to be maneuvered into position or moved out of the way of traffic lanes as required.
