Description: The Westar Arms GX-2000 was a common military Blaster pistol from the late years of the Old Republic, not as powerful as a Heavy Blaster Pistol, but not as limited on range or ammunition either. The GX-2000 was considered to be uncomfortable to use, and its advantages over the Heavy Blaster pistol were limited, meaning that as the galaxy became a more dangerous place, and firepower became a more and more necessary part of just surviving combat, the GX-2000 found itself outclassed, and sales decreased until the weapon was eventually discontinued. Replacement models were introduced with slight differences, but none of these helped Westar Arms, which went out of business shortly after the founding of the Galactic Empire.
