Description: As the luxurious diplomatic transports and yachts of the Old Republic era gave way to the armed frigates and corvettes that served the same job in the Imperial Era, the shipyards of the planet Nubia made one last effort to continue selling their luxury vessels. The Nubian Y type shuttle was designed as a shuttle to transport diplomats and ambassadors from their armed cruisers or frigates to a planet, allowing them to retain the glamour and spectacle of their arrival without sacrificing the protection that they required. This only worked to a small degree, and a fairly small number of these vessels sold, forcing production to end sooner than anyone expected. The Y type Shuttle continues to be retained by a few worlds even through to the New Republic Era, but mainly these vessels have been sold to rich individuals who want the image that only a Nubian ship can project.
