Description: The 1PO is the first model in the series that led to the successful 3PO range of droids, and has many of the same features, which of course were more advanced by the time the 3PO was designed. The 1PO is slow and clumsy, and has a far less advanced brain than the 3PO, but does have data processing modules in a couple of other areas than just translation. This has led to some of these droids being left in offices and data processing centres on backwater worlds. Their personality is subservient, but their poor quality droid brain may cause them to have problems understanding and following any but the most simple instructions, a fact which their articulate grasp of language may belie.
