Description: The Boriak is a common hunting predator in the deserts of the planet Mandalore, and was a major problem for the survivors in their early days on the planet. With its tough carapace and highly agile physiology it makes a dangerous threat to even well equipped humanoids, however they have wider frequency range of hearing and they find the noise from repulsorlift engines disturbing so will stay clear of speeders and the like. The Boriak is a lone predator, and will not tend to attack settlements unless very hungry, but does range quite widely and will hunt anything it looks upon as edible entering its territory. Although the Boriak has been cleared from most of the inhabited continents on Mandalore, the Mandalorians have exported this animal to a number of their other worlds so that they can continue hunting and being challenged by these powerful beasts. The Mandalorians will look upon anyone who has hunted and killed a Boriak as a brave and powerful warrior.
