Disposable Assassin Droid

Technically assassin droids are quite illegal but both the Imperial Security
Bureau and the Ubiqtorate have been known to use assassin droids in common
practice.

Common assassin droids can be expensive to buy and maintain, especially if
the droid finds itself in a fire fight before returning if it even survives
that long. Sending these costly droids on suicide missions tends to put a
tight strain on the budget. Seeing a chance at a quick profit, Welkret
Electronics introduced their SCUD line of disposable assassion droids.

A disposable assassin droid costs thousands of credits less than your
typical assassin droid but is only designed to be used once. Once the
target's life signs cease the droid promptly self destructs, leaving no
evidence of who sent it.

There has been at least one recorded instance of a SCUD assassin droid
going to far lengths to make sure that its target did not die by putting
him in permanent stasis. With his target still alive, the SCUD was left open
to persue a career as a real assassin droid.
