Description: Howlers were furred quadrupedal creatures native to the extragalactic planet Peridea. Howlers could be tamed and ridden, and would respond to commands as demonstrated by Enoch and Sabine Wren, who used the word "tota" to order one such creature to sit.

Howlers appeared to be extremely loyal as seen when one tried to defend Sabine from the Noti. Additionally, Sabine's howler refused to part with her, despite her scolding it and insisting it leave her alone.

Howlers were also ridden by a group of bandits that resided on Peridea.
