An Industrial Automaton product, the SE8 waiter droid was a humanoid servant droid designed to deliver refreshments. Illuminated indicators on the droid's glossy black torso changed color to denote drink specials, and the SE8 was capable of weaving through crowds with state-of-the-art gyroscopic systems and programming to help them avoid collisions with customers and guests.

Numerous SE8 waiter droids were employed at Canto Casino in Canto Bight on Cantonica, and bore trays of drinks to guests and gamblers on the casino floor.
