Sariss is a descendant of Theron Shan, Staele Shan, Bastila Shan, Helena Shan. She is the head trainer for the Jedi Acadmey that is on Coruscant, Sariss has been offered a seat many times on the Jedi Council but turns it down every time as her husband is the Grand Master and feels it would be unfair to be a member.
Sariss and her husband Antares are very much in love and have been married for nearly 30 years, they have raised two sons together and both of their sons are very powerful in the force and have both been trained by other members of the Jedi Council as Jedi Knights.
Sariss possessed many qualities that set her apart from her peers and destined her for greatness, but these same traits and the inexperience of her youth set her down the path that would eventually lead to her fall.
Brash, impulsive, and somewhat overconfident (thanks in no small part to the rare gift that was her battle meditation), Sariss use to act as though she were unstoppable, though she was constantly aware of the responsibility resting on her. At one time for a brief peroid Sariss came close to turning over to the dark side but with the help of her family she came back before she could fully turn. Sariss tries to follow the Jedi Code as strictly as possible, to the point of expressing even more radical views than some Jedi Masters?she believed that nobody deserved death without a chance of redemption.
