Description: Weyland, also known as Wayland, was a forested, mountainous planet located in the galaxy's Mid Rim. Weyland served as the base of operations of the Galactic Empire's cloning program early in its reign. The medical officer Scalder oversaw the facility on the planet's Mount Tantiss and brought in Kaminoan scientist Nala Se to work on the project. The Weyland facility was garrisoned by a number of clone commandos sporting grey markings on their armor. The droid ZO-E3 heard that Emperor Palpatine supposedly had a huge storehouse of treasures on Weyland.

Mount Tantiss
Mount Tantiss was a mountain on the planet Weyland that hosted Tantiss Base. During the early days of the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire relocated its cloning program from the extragalactic planet Kamino to the Weyland facility, establishing it as the headquarters for the secret Advanced Science Division. Medical personnel, including the kidnapped Nala Se, were brought to Mount Tantiss for the cloning effort. The mountain included several facilities for the cloning program including holding cells for Se and rogue clones, and an underground containment zone for cloned Zillo Beasts. Mount Tantiss and its facilities were heavily guarded by clone commandos, Imperial royal guards, and TK stormtroopers.
