Description: Lank Denvik was a human male commander in the Galactic Empire who served as a chief supervisor for the Imperial Security Bureau. In 9 BBY, he was the commander of the II-0810 Satellite Station in the Nova Garon system.

Biography
Early life
Born in the Core Worlds to an affluent family, Commander Lank Denvik later served the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars as an Intelligence Officer alongside Jedi Knight Bode Akuna, becoming a mentor to him. Denvik was later sought out by his old colleague some years after the Great Jedi Purge in hopes of working for him in exchange for protection from the Inquisitorius, an organization dedicated to eliminating surviving Jedi, which Denvik despised and was hunting Akuna. Denvik agreed to the deal, and kept Bode and his daughter, Kata Akuna, hidden from the Inquisitorius in exchange for Bode's loyalty.

Search for Cal Kestis and Cere Junda
In 9 BBY, as chief supervisor of the Imperial Security Bureau, Denvik eventually sent Bode after Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and his crew in hopes of eventually capturing them. Kestis was a target of great interest to the Empire. In particular, Akuna was sent to find Cere Junda, an ally of Kestis who operates the secretive Hidden Path network to safeguard Force-sensitives and sympathizers from the Empire. Denvik later attempted to further exploit Bode as his asset by promising the identity of the Inquisitor who killed his wife.

Once the lost world of Tanalorr was rediscovered, a location the Empire could not cross into without certain instruments, Bode seized on the chance to escape to the planet with Kata. That meant leaving the Empire behind, which was Bode's eventual goal. Bode seized the last remaining compass to activate the arrays and relayed Junda's location, the Jedi Archives on the moon Jedha, to the attention of Darth Vader. Prior to this, Denvik had clandestine plans to destroy these Archives and Junda within the next few months, an operation that may be tasked only to Vader's Inquisitorius.

After Vader destroyed the Archives and Kestis escaped Jedha with his crew, he traveled to II-0810 Satellite Station where Bode went to retrieve his daughter. Kestis confronted Denvik and told him to lift the station lockdown, and found out Bode was operating as Denvik's personal agent. Denvik was surprised to hear that Kestis discovered his base through the locator beacon on Bode's ship, remarking it was uncharacteristically careless of him. He was then subsequently accused of sending Vader to attack the Jehda archives that resulted in the deaths of Jedi Master Eno Cordova and Junda. Surprised by this revelation, Denvik quickly realized that Bode had betrayed him and attempted to warn his subordinates, only for Kestis to aggressively use the Force to hold him. In desperation, Denvik told Kestis that Bode purposely lured him to his outpost to kill him, but was knocked out, before Kestis stole a spare uniform to continue his search for Bode.

By the time Denvik regained consciousness, the Inquisitorius was already engaged in combat with his men, and futilely ordered Akuna's starfighter shot down as he escaped Nova Garon with his daughter. Denvik then personally went down to the flight deck to confront Kestis and his friend Merrin and attempted to shoot the Jedi but Kestis quickly subdued him. Fearing his own execution by Vader, the Imperial attempted to goad Kestis into ending his life. In his anger and grief, Kestis used the Force to start crushing the Imperial from the inside. Merrin talked Kestis out of revenge, not wanting the Empire to take his soul like it did Junda and everything else the two had lost. Kestis relented and left Denvik on the flight deck to face whomever Vader sent.

Death
What Denvik feared came true when Darth Vader confronted him in his office and strangled him using the Force as punishment, without giving him the chance to explain his actions. Denvik was only able to acknowledge Vader's presence before being strangled to death.

Personality and traits
Denvik was a human male with light skin and white hair that he had lost most on top of his head. An ambitious and relentless agent of the Imperial Security Bureau, chief supervisor Denvik wanted to capture Jedi without the Inquisitors, whom he viewed as "armored abominations". He was career-focused, eager to please his superiors, and always on the lookout for opportunities to improve his own position. Working within the ISB, Denvik was fully aware of the consequences that befell those who failed, showed weakness or betrayed the Empire.

Equipment
Denvik donned the signature white uniform of the Security Bureau along with black boots. He had four blue squares on his rank insignia plaque, as well as a pair of code cylinders. He also carried a DC-17 hand blaster as a sidearm. He also occasionally used a DC-15A blaster carbine.
